PlayStation 4 still leads US sales
Console sales for September fell by 27% over the same period last year to a market volume of 313.5 million dollars, according to data from NPD.
As usual, there have been no sales figures of consoles, but Nintendo has stated that the Wii U sales were up by 110% compared to the previous months sales. So according to estimates, sales of the console is about 90,000 units in September. As for Nintendo 3DS, sales have grown by 24% over the same month of 2014, which would put them at around 130,000 units.
Sony announced that PlayStation 4 has been the best-selling console in September and record-breaking revenue of the PlayStation Store, but did not give any specific figures or referred to the portable PlayStation Vita.
As for Xbox One, Microsoft has highlighted a “solid growth” this year, but no reference or concrete information about console sales figures.
So which means is that PlayStation 4 is still the one to beat and Xbox One is trying its best to catch up.
